About

Chicago Art Experience is a conduit to share my collection of art world experiences in an entertaining, engaging and informative way.   This blog is an intimate collection of articles and books that I read, my thoughts on interesting subjects, events that I’ve attended and interviews with artists, collectors and art insiders that shape my experience and art world perspective.  I am not a taste maker and I am not an expert, but I invite you to become an informed art connoisseur with me. Lets engage the Chicago art world together.

I have an intense passion for art and have been enthusiastically pursued learning and experiencing art for many years now.  My passion for art has led me to be very active in the Chicago art scene.  I currently serve on several boards and committees at the Art Institute of Chicago and Museum of Contemporary Art and am also a member of the Chicago Artist Coalition’s Collectors Circle .  I am religiously expanding my knowledge of art by attending lectures, events and openings, reading and meeting artists, collectors and art insiders.

I was born and raised in the Chicagoland area attending Rich Central High School.  I went on to attend Saint Xavier University on a full basketball scholarship, where I was a starting guard and team captain and graduated with a degree in Marketing.   After several years in the marketing industry, I attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and earned an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship.   I continue to enjoy a successful 10 + year career in financial services,  spanning from derivatives sales to corporate banking.  I currently partner with individual professionals, business owners and young families, assisting them in the comprehensive planning of their financial future.

In 2010, I founded Adopt-a-School Project, a non-profit that focuses on helping CPS elementary school students in lower income neighborhoods.   In 2012, I started my first blog venture, Chicago Art Experience.
